THE NOVEL

“IN LIVING MEMORY” — THE BOOK

Included with every Large Box, the novel enriches the experience, adding a new dimension to the wooden box.

Inspired by a true story, this novel follows a family saga shaped by the upheavals of the 20th century — from Zionism to the Shoah and the founding of Israel.

At its heart: a wooden box — a witness, a keeper of secrets, a bridge between generations.

Through its pages, memory becomes mission.

THE FACES BEHIND THE STORY

I want to pay tribute to the people whose faces appear here — the real lives that inspired the writing of my novel.

Showing their photographs is my way of honouring them and thanking those who shaped my life — and the lives of my children.

The story springs from authentic events, family memories, and fragments of lived experience. But the novel is not a faithful account: I transformed and reinvented it, weaving together memory and fiction.

The characters borrow something from these real people, yet they never mirror them exactly.

Their destinies, their vulnerabilities, and their choices belong to the realm of imagination — an imagination nourished by truth and transfigured through writing.
